Globe Valve with S Pattern Flanged End
Globe Valve is an instrument used to stop and/or control the flow of fluids in a pipeline. It works by halting the flow of fluid through a pipe.
This type of globe valve gives good throttling and sealing ability. The valve seat is horizontal which allowing the stem and disk to travel at right angels to the pipe axis.
Valve Flow Coefficient (Cv) values associated with this pattern are low as the pressure drop across the valve is high. This is largely because the flow has to make two 90 degree turns between the valve inlet and outlet similar to a ‘S’ shape.
