This butterfly valve is a family of quarter-turn rotational motion valve that is used in pipelines to shut-off flow. Butterfly valve can also be used to regulate the flow by starting, slowing or stopping media.

Butterfly valve typically operate at a lower pressure (less than 50 bar) and temperature (less than 250 Degree Celsius).

It also has compact design which require less space, simple mechanism and lighter weight compared to other valve types.
